Experience the delights of Pierre-François Maestracci, dive right into the heart of his universe - a step through time into a completely amazing family history.

Within the Maestracci family, the wine-growing tradition has been passed from one generation to the next: his great-great-grandfather first acquired the Patrimoniu vineyard plot in 1890. Pierre-Antoine was then granted grower, winemaker and distiller status. Three generations on, Pierre-François is continuing his family’s trade by opening his own distillery. He first studied architecture in Marseille followed by Fine Art in Corte, honing his taste for the aesthetic and giving rise to his taste for daring recipes.

"The beer needs to be in keeping with our heritage. The blend of barley and citron, our Patrimoniu flagship beer, seemed like an obvious choice."

The young brewer clearly knows what he’s talking about, having won silver medals in Paris in 2013 and 2014, awarded by 200 professionals for his Bruna Castagna dark beer made from chestnuts. Pierre-François produces a "bière agricole" from his brewery, which he likes to refer to as "experimental". A Ribella lives up to its rebel name sake! By 2015, he plans to have doubled the size of his hop plantation. By producing malts from several different grains, he will go on to become completely independent. "I am an advocate of Bio / organic, as well as being excited by the idea of alternative flavour combinations. I have one clear intention: the pleasure of sharing.'' Completely enchanting!
