It was at the end of the nineteenth century that the Paolini family tied its destiny to that of the Clos Landry wine-growing domaine. At that time, Cathy Paolini’s great grandfather became the Landry’s family manager, and thus management of the domaine would never leave the family. Cathy’s grandfather and her father after him ensured its management, development and growing reputation throughout the century.

In 1994, it was Cathy’s turn to take over, but she took on this role more as a matter of family duty than deep personal conviction.“To be honest, I didn’t know much about it and I had other professional projects, but what can you do, I had a responsibility so I took it on! “ Cathy then learned her new profession during harvests under the watchful and helpful eye of her father. 

A hard worker, perfectionist, and very persistent, she managed to maintain the domaine’s high level, but perhaps more importantly she managed to pass on the family’s wine-making bug to her son, Marc. It is now he who presides over the domaine’s destiny. Cathy concludes: “Even though it was not originally my choice, I had the feeling of accomplishment when I saw my son take over with conviction and enthusiasm.” ”
